Versteeg remains a Panther.

The Florida Panthers have avoided salary arbitration with winger Kris Versteeg, re-signing him to a four-year contract. Financial terms to follow…

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Another player due for arbitration settles before his hearing. Kinda predictable, isn’t it? In this case, completely expected. Versteeg earned just over $3 million per season on his last deal, so I expect he’ll get a healthy raise.

**UPDATE**: It’s worth $17.6 million, for an annual cap hit of $4.4 million. A nice raise for Versteeg, and a reasonable contract for the Panthers.
