Avalanche re-sign Cumiskey.
DENVER POST: Adrian Dater reported this afternoon the Colorado Avalanche have re-signed RFA defenseman Kyle Cumiskey to a one-year, two-way contract, worth $708K at the NHL level, and $105K at the NHL level.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: That should silence the rumors of the Avs shopping Cumiskey for a while. The money is a slight raise from the $675K he earned last season, provided of course he remains with the Avalanche this season.
Surprised Sherman realized how much potential Cumiskey has to help the team (offensively at least). A good signing from a god-awful GM.
