- The Colorado Avalanche avoided arbitration with forward Jamie McGinn, re-signing him to a two-year, $3.5 million contract, for an average annual cap hit of $1.75 million.

- The Winnipeg Jets signed center Kyle Wellwood to a one-year, $1.6 million contract. Wellwood was an unrestricted free agent, who netted 47 points with the Jets last season on a $700K contract.

- The Montreal Canadiens avoided salary arbitration with defenseman Raphael Diaz, inking him to a two-year, $2.45 million contract, worth an average annual cap hit of $1.225 million.

    Great value for Diaz. He kept getting better all season until his injury. Lots of quality depth now and best of all… NO CAMPOLI!!!
