Various sources report the Chicago Blackhawks have avoided salary arbitration with forward Viktor Stalberg, re-signing him to a two-year, $1.75 million contract, worth an average cap hit of $875K per season.

Spector’s note: This will push the Blackhawks payroll to just over $58 million invested in 22 players next season, with Michael Frolik and Chris Campoli still to re-sign. Campoli’s arbitration hearing is slated for August 3rd.
