Bruins re-sign McQuaid

CSNNE.COM: reports the Boston Bruins have re-signed defenseman Adam McQuaid to a three-year contract extension, beginning in 2012-13, which will pay him an annual cap hit of $1.57 million per season. McQuaid currently has one year remaining on his present contract at $575K.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: McQuaid proved his worth last season to the Bruins, in both 67 regular season games and 23 post-season ones. He has  a promising career ahead of him as a shut-down defenseman. Another Island boy makes good!

  1. another good move by Boston

Chiarelli is a genius and his good management is one of the reasons why Boston won

    good job

  2. Great signing the kid can hold his own night in and night out.

  3. Best thing that happened to him was Stuart being traded to Atlanta/Winnipeg. They were essentially the same player. I do agree very good signing I am hoping he gets more ice time than Boychuk this coming season. WAY too many turnovers with Boychuk.
