Various sources report the Boston Bruins today announced the signing of forward Rich Peverley to a three-year contract extension, which commences in 2012-13. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Peverley is earning a cap hit of $1.375 million for this season (actual salary is $1.4 million). He netted 41 points last season split between the Atlanta Thrashers and the Bruins, and 12 points in last season’s Cup championship run. I’m guessing it could be around $2 million per.
**UPDATE** Turns out he got considerably more than $2 million per, it’s worth $3.25 million per season. Nice raise for Peverley.
