RDS.CA: reports Montreal Canadiens prospect Louis Leblanc has his sights set on the pros this season, either with the Habs or their minor league affiliate.

OTTAWA CITIZEN: reports rugged defenseman Mark Borowiecki, who was a fifth round pick of the Senators in 2008, has already earned himself a berth with their AHL affiliate and is hoping to land a spot in the NHL

TORONTO STAR: reports Maple Leafs prospects Greg McKegg and Sondrie Olden, who were selected in 2010 by the Leafs, will be playing on the same line this season with the Erie Otters.

WINNIPEG SUN: reports Jets 2011 first round pick Mark Scheifele dazzled helping the club to a 4-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks in a rookie tournament game, scoring on a short-handed breakaway.

CALGARY HERALD: reports Flames prospect Patrick Holland has no problems scoring “garbage goals”, potting two in the Flames 4-3 OT win over loss to the Vancouver Canucks in a rookie tournament game.

EDMONTON JOURNAL: reports Oilers prospect Colten Tuebert will miss the remaining two games of the Young Stars tournament after suffering a broken nose in a fight during a fight in a recent game against the Vancouver Canucks.

VANCOUVER SUN: reports Canucks 2011 first round pick Nicklas Jensen is turning heads at this week’s prospects camp.

    correction on the flames vs vancouver game( van won 4-3 in ot). Patrick Holland was very impressive last night and should be a good prospect in a couple years. Brody was beat pretty bad on the o.t goal, still needs to work on his defensive game but should make a great pitch for this years NHL squad.
