Gorges signs 6-year extension with Habs.
TSN.CA reports the Montreal Canadiens have re-signed defenseman Josh Gorges to a six-year contract extension worth an average annual salary of $3.9 million per season. Gorges was eligible for UFA status on July 1st.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: A good move by the Habs, as Gorges has grown into one of their better defensive blueliners and team leaders.
Happy he is staying long term at a good cap hit. Really good team guy and is back in pre surgery form. I just wish this team didn’t stink so bad this year.
