Canadiens re-sign White.

White inks one year extension with Habs.

The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed forward Ryan White to a one-year contract worth $687.5 K, which is a slight pay raise from the $625K he earned in 2011-12. White, 24, was slated to become a restricted free agent on July 1.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Affordable contract for an energetic, physical fourth-line forward who missed most of last season to hernia surgery. White’s style made him a fan favorite in Montreal.

  1. Go whitey! Hopefully he can take it to the next level and help the habs depth.

  2. Very good signing. To me, when white came back the team played differently, with a lot more jump. If he can do that for the year next year, Montreal will be an improved team. If he can play well next year, hope the Habs sign him for a longer contract.
