Stars ship Ribeiro to Capitals.
The Washington Capitals have acquired center Mike Ribeiro from the Dallas Stars for Cody Eakin and a second round pick in 2012.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Ribeiro was being shopped prior to the trade deadline so no surprise that he’s been dealt. The Capitals needed second line depth at center and Ribeiro, a nifty playmaker, should address that need. Ribeiro has one year at $5 million left on his contract.
i always hated when ribeiro was playing my team. he just felt like one of those players that could explode and score at any time. happy to see him head east.
