Various sources report the Phoenix Coyotes have claimed center Gilbert Brule off re-entry waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: This has already given rise to “Is this Brule’s last chance to save his NHL career?” speculation. In a word: yes. The Coyotes will also pick up half of his remaining salary for this season. He is on a one-way contract worth $1.85 million this season.
