Ducks, Devils Make Four Player trade.

Foster dealt to Devils.

Various sources report the Anaheim Ducks have dealt defenseman Kurtis Foster and goaltender Timo Pielmeier to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for center Rod Pelley, defenseman Mark Fraser and a seventh round pick in 2012.

  1. Pelley is a great 4th line center.

  2. You know Pelley knows how to play a system… he just didn’t fit on the Devils anymore.

I remember Kurtis Foster… if I recall, he’s the one that shattered his femur one of those stupid icing plays. He’s not bad.

Fraser’s not too bad, and if NJ didn’t have so many d-men prospects, he’d probably still be on the team, but with Urbom, Merrick, and Taormina waiting in the weeds, someone had to go. Typical Jersey trade.

  3. Urbom sure looks to have lead feet…..can any Jersey fans confirm this ?

  4. Maybe Boudreau wanted to change the mix?
This is certainly not hte blockbuster shakeup that had been suggested.
However, I think that the Ducks should not throw in the towel and/or trade any of their core (Perry, Getzlaf, Ryan, Fowler, Selanne, Hiller).
Last season they were dismal and then had an weseom last haf to earn home ice.
