The Detroit Red Wings have traded defenseman Kent Huskins to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a conditional 2014 draft pick.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Having lost Andrej Meszaros and Braydon Coburn to injuries and with their playoff hopes fading, the Flyers had to do something to bolster their injury-ravaged blueline. It remains to be seen if GM Paul Holmgren has other moves in store before the trade deadline.
