Flyers sign Fedotenko, Gervais.

Fedotenko & Gervais join the Flyers.

ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun reports the Philadelphia Flyers have signed former Ranger Ruslan Fedotenko to a one-year, $1.75 million contract, and former Lightning defenseman Bruno Gervais to a two-year deal worth $825K per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Decent depth signings by the Flyers, though Gervais obviously won’t fill the void left by Carle’s departure. Fedotenko, meanwhile, returns to the team with which he began his NHL career and played two seasons before being dealt to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2002

  1. Wonder if Rusty coming back is a precursor to a bigger move.

  2. It looks like the Flyers filling gaps. A few teams are left picking up scraps now. We may see a lot of Somewhat even hockey trades soon.

  3. Would like to see the Flyers get Carlo Colaiacovo he is a solid 2nd pairing d-man who can move the puck (think because of his past injury problems we can get him cheap (still had 20+ points I believe)
