Ilya Kovalchuk scored and Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves  as SKA Saint Petersburg shut out Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 4-0. Semyon Varlamov made 23 saves in a losing effort for Lokomotiv.

Pavel Datsyuk picked up an assist as CSKA Moscow downed Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk 3-1.

Henrik Zetterberg scored the game-tying goal as EV Zug went on to edge SCL Tigers 3-2 in  shootout.
