Ovechkin’s “shattering” experience.

KHL.RU: Alexander Ovechkin had a “shattering experience” during a recent KHL game. “Russian machine never breaks”, but Russian glass does!

NATIONAL LEAGUE.CH: Henrik Zetterberg netted a hat trick and set up another as EV Train downed Ambri-Piotta 5-2….Petr Sykora scored twice, Rick Nash had a tally, and Joe Thornton had two assists as HC Davos edged Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 3-2. Jason Spezza had a goal and an assist for the Lakers…Patrice Bergeron had a goal and an assist as HC Lugano doubled up on EHC Biel 6-3. Tyler Seguin, Bergeron’s Boston Bruins teammate, had a goal and two assists for Biel…John Tavares scored a goal in a losing cause as SC Bern fell to ZSC Lions 3-2.

THE AHL.COM: Marcus Foligno had a four point night (2 goals, 2 assists) and Cody Hodgson had three assists as the Rochester Americans edged the Hershey Bears 8-7….Brayden Schenn potted a goal and an assist as the Adirondack Phantoms squeaked past the St. John’s Ice Caps 4-3…Promising blueliner Justin Schultz scored another goal, this time in a losing cause, as the Oklahoma City Barons fell to the Lake Erie Monsters 5-3…Sven Baertschi had a goal and an assist as the Abbotsford Heat downed the Chicago Wolves 4-1…Louis Leblanc suffered an apparent knee injury as the Hamilton Bulldogs were shut out 5-0 by the Toronto Marlies.
