  1. To bad for the Oil. I was curious to see the outcome of signing Bryz. Now they have no hope with Duby.

Leafs are decimated right now so hopefully Kadri steps up. If Kessel is out tonight the only hope on the top line is Kadri/JVR and ??? I suppose it will be Raymond to fill in but I think they should stick Clarkson in there. It’s time they put some pressure on this guy and stop “saying we don’t expect him to score 30 goals, that’s not why we signed him”. Well, right now Kulemin is out playing him and we know how much he makes.

  2. OILERS ….NO HOPE at this point ….I was thinking the other day ???

Can anyone here name the Captain of the Canada Junior team in the lock out year that failed to place in the tournament that was a number 1 draft pick and suppose to be a huge star in the NHL …that was terrible and looked out of place and didn’t produce anything in that tournament and has carried over to the pros again ???

    Leafs

    I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN ….GARDINER IS A WINGER …..NOT A D MAN …there is nothing defensive about his play …NOTHING !!!!

need to make moves RIGHT NOW and fix this before Christmas break and the Olympics to start fresh after the break with a new personal on the ice that has time to gel …or this will get ugly AGAIN!!!

    Ranger ….OUT …Waivers ( TERRIBLE )… SLOW…. and costly with penalties …

Fraser ….OUT …SLOW….place on Waivers or a secondary piece in a trade !!

Gardiner….. trade with Kadri for a TOP 2 BIG defender

Reilly keep playing him every night and give him 15 – 17 minutes a game

    Ashton …DOWN……ORR….. Waivers ….. LEIVO ( UP ) ….DEVANE ( UP )

DO NOT …..RESIGN…. PHANUEF for $7 – $8 million for 7 years …thats way to long & TOO MUCH and they have more players they need to spend money on !!

Trade REIMER AND PHANUEF to Islanders for Andrew McDonald and Vanek

Then trade Liles & Gardiner for Khudobin and Gleason.

Carlyle needs to play 4 lines deep all game every night and stop dressing 2 GOONS and look for some secondary scoring with Leivo !!

Still need a # 1 Center …LMAO the experiment is OVER !!!! and so will the season be soon !!

    • Awful…just leaving it at that.

    • I know you probably a bit emotional over the Leafs play over the last month but come on. All this trade Phaneuf banter is useless. If the Leafs sign him, everyone will complain. If the Leafs trade him, everyone will complain. Think about this though, would you rather have Phaneuf at 7 mill per season with an increasing cap next year and in the years to come or 2 other defenceman making 3 and 4 million each trying to fill the void and think about who might be available to be in those 2 spots that will eat up the time Phaneuf plays? I think a better suggestion is to get rid of Franson and Gunnerson and get a defenceman who plays defence and can hit somebody. Not sure why Gunnerson is considered a shutdown Dman.

The quote I posted by Back checking is laughable. RNH had 15 points at the WJHC and had the most points for Team Canada and also the most points in the tournament. He was named the the tournament All-Star team. He currently has 21 points for the Oilers. How is that not producing at the WJCH and not producing at the NHL. You need to get you fact straight before you go bashing a player for not doing anything when he was the only one that actually did something for TC at the WJHC.

  3. BC I can’t help you today. You will get roasted.

    • LOL

      I figured !! LOL

Just a topic of conversation …why does everything have to be the norm …most trades as of lat the were significant were all out of left field for players so whats the difference really???

      • I wished there was a way Nonis could have worked a deal with Boston for Seguin. I assume he inquired.

  4. So rumour has it MLSE want Gretzky as an ambassador but also helping with the team too. Why can’t they go after Scotty Bowman instead. I’d way rather have this guy helping with the team.

    • Bowman wouldnt look as good leading the parade…I doubt Wayne would have a huge amount of input on the team.

      • Agreed Bowman wouldn’t look good next to Rob Ford heading down Young St. lol

  5. @back checking. Holy crap dude!! I guess the Leafs don’t need Nonis
OR Carlyle. You should be the coach and GM. Well on your way bud, WELL on your way!!! Although anyone could probably be a better coach than Carlyle. I’m a Habs fan and I say the Leafs would be a MUCH better team with a different coach. Have a nice day!! P.S. back checker.. just kidding around, don’t take it personally. :)

  6. Mark Giardano should be seriously considered for Olympic Team Canada….having an outstanding season in his healthy games.
