  1. @backchecking

Bozak had a much better game then usual.

The Good: He scored in the first period and the shoot out. Impressive!!!

The Bad: He gave the puck away in the first period while on the pk on an easy clearing attempt and McClement had to bail him out big time, He let Pominville go twice within 7 seconds of each other which resulted in the third goal which tied it up at the time, He blew a 2 on 1 break in the third that could have put the leafs up and probably the game away.

Oh well the Leafs got a point and Boz was plus one for the night which is better then most nights these days. Isn’t mediocrity great…

Oh crap here comes Boston. Boz and Phil quick find a hiding spot!!! lol

  2. The Leafs are so screwed this summer when it comes to resigning Kadri.

Kadri is single handedly keeping the Leafs in a playoff spot and is now top 10 in scoring and still moving up that list.

What is all that worth on the open market? He is an RFA but still what are the Leafs going to pay a guy that only has one year under his belt but is slowly proving he may be a big time star in this league. I wouldn’t want to be Nonis this summer

  3. @ Beergoggles

Bozak at best right now is a 2nd to third line center and always has been….hes had good and bad games but Leafs need to push down there lines …..its so OBVIOUIS Kadri is the # 1 Center they have coveted …him with Lupul will be a very good combo but I think the leafs should go an get a new winger for the top line to play with Kadri and Lupul ….more of a veteran presence with speed, Anthony Stewart or Patrick Marleau …..Thomas Flieshman would be a good choice here.

Move down the line of Bozak Kessel and JVR to the second line !

    JVR is awol !!!

McLement has been one of the best signings Leafs have made in the Burke era …..plays a complete game!
Liles is starting to look as if he doens’t belong anymore ….

Gardiner could be the Leafs Erik Karlson – Kris Letang in the making…excited to see Rielly and Finn in the future.

Leafs Trade moves going out should be :

Kessel – 1 st rounder and a top 6 player
    Grabo – Luongo
Liles – prospect and second rounder or UFA rental
    Bozak – big D man bottom 4 …or …..second rounder
Phanuef & Frattin + second rounder to Florida – Flip contracts for Brian Campbell and Thomas Flieshman
( Campbell & Gardiner to run Leaf power play)

    • I can’t see Nonis making anymore then one trade at the deadline. He certainly isn’t going to trade major parts of the team for fear of any chemistry getting screwed up and the Leafs dropping out of the playoff hunt.

Any Leaf fans have interest in picking up Gaborik since he only has one year left on his contract. Try him out with Kadri maybe he scores 40 goals again? I’m would think the Rangers would take Liles back on that deal along with a prospect.

I’m on the fence on Gaborik since it’s only for one year.

    • The trade for Liles is particularly hilarious.

      • Sportsnet has Yandle back avaliable with phx signing oel. Leafs should make a pitch for him. Be a heafty price but could be a dollars in dollars out meaning like beergoggles said the other day maybe a chance for a phaneuf out new guy in?

  4. Can’t understand why Kassel is still a leaf. He shows little interest in defence, and will avoid physical contact . This weekend he will be invisible against the bruins. Lets get rid of him

  5. @ Beer goggles

This is more my wish list than what I know reality will be ……however the reality is we havent played a Western team this year and the travel has been cut down and that IMO is the only reason the Leafs are where they sit in the standings …..they have lots of holes to fill still ….I dont find them to be a well rounded team…..only wine line deep and a good penalty kill has saved there ass this year !!

    • Agreed. Lots of areas to improve upon

  6. Komi cleared waivers. So much for the idea that the Leafs could get a 2nd-3rd round pick for him like I’ve been reading in comments all year. Nobody wants him for free, I guess the reality Is that one teams garbage is, well, garbage.

I also wish people would stop saying the leads should trade Liles for a 2nd + prospect. They would have done that if they could. I say a 5th rounder, max, is what he’ll get. A buyout is more likely, though.

    • I don’t think anyone has said Komi would get anything I. A trade unless packaged together or taking salary back. As for Liles I have seen proposed trades with 3rd rounders but nothing higher. I get your not a leaf fan and are being dramatic about leafs “fantasy trades” but your just as bad for this rediculous comments.

  7. Good game by the undermanned Sens. It took the Bruins until the last minute of the game to beat what is mostly an AHL lineup. Considering Gonchar got injured.. the Sens played with 5 D in the 3rd period.

If the Bruins just beat that AHL lineup.. what do you think will happen when they face a healthy and fast Leafs team on Saturday..
