TVASPORTS.COM: The Canadiens have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract with pending UFA blueliner Mike Weaver, but the blueliner says there’s still time to get a deal done.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Weaver’s coming off a two-year, $2.2 million deal. Perhaps the delay is due to his age (36), as the Habs might be unwilling to commit to more than a one-year deal.

  1. Could be an exciting week.. What’s everyone expecting to happen…I’m hoping if the leafs don’t move their draft position that Ritchie is still there. Seems to have a few people very high on him with potential top skill but if skill doesn’t progress he could still be a good third liner. Seems ehlers has been mentioned too as his size seems to knock him down a few spots from where he should be with his speed and skill..
