  1. I like Markov back for 2 or 3 years, depending on the salary? Will they looked at trading Gorges?
It will be interesting to see what the group of D looks like next year. We need 2-3 of the kids rotating in the line up.

If they do not sign Markov, I think they should trade for a more mobile defensive that can make the quick plays to get out their own end. Spitballing here… Pleks, Gorges, 1st, 2nd for Yandle, 1st. I would try and sign Stasny to replace

Or trade Pleks for a winger (Sharp?) and sign Stasny.

What do Habs need to do this offseason?

    • I’d like to see Montreal pick up Byfuglien somehow from the Jet’s. He would have helped a lot this year in the playoffs.

      • You want Byfuglien, I’d rather have Zach Bogosian. Both are play right side I believe, which is what we need. What would you be willing to part with land Byfuglien? …. one of Eller/Pleks + 2nd rd pick (no sure that is enough)?

        • pleks and a pick…….NOT Eller, he is going to be a force

          • Agree Pleks and pick makes more sense from salary cap side of things and I would rather keep Eller.

I think some competition between Eller and AG for 2C could be a very good thing… not sure if either is ready yet. Maybe another year of experience.

I like DD but still struggle to view him as the #1 center and we lack size down the middle. 2-3 seasons from now it could be AG as 1C, DD as #2, and Eller as #3C… is that enough to be a strong cup contender?

  2. This is what its come to?? Analysis of Boyd Gordons faceoff skills???
Please let the playoffs be over soon so we can get on with the Draft, Trades, and UFA signings. The month or so of down time before rookie camp is hard enough to take and is full of these type stories of third line centers analysis. lol
