Canadiens goalie Carey Price talks about the lockout, Oilers forward Ales Hemsky considers returning to the Czech Republic, Two Jets winging their way to Europe, and Marc Methot’s debut with the Senators delayed by the lockout.

 

Price has no plans yet to head overseas.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Canadiens goalie Carey Price reflected on how the last NHL lockout kept him in junior another season, adding he currently has no plans to play overseas, though that could change. He appears intrigued with Switzerland.

 EDMONTON SUN: Oilers winger Ales Hemsky is contemplating a return to the Czech Republic to play out the course of the current NHL lockout.

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec is joining HC Trinec of the Czech League, while Alexei Ponikarovsky has signed with Donbass Donetsk of the KHL.

OTTAWA SUN: Defenseman and Ottawa native Marc Methot is disappointed over the lockout delaying his debut as a Senator. Methot was acquired in a trade this summer from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
