Various sources today report the NHL has cancelled the remainder of its December schedule up to December 31, 2012.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Funny they left December 31st available, but apparently that’s been done to allow arenas flexibility for making other arrangements. For those who are wondering, if the NHL were to start a season on January 1st, it’s possible they could stage between 50-55 game schedule. Most betting on a season feel it’ll be closer to 48 games. At this point, I don’t care, just as long as there’s a season. The two sides are close enough to get a deal done within the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping they cut the crap and get it done!

They will launch 1.1.13 NBC national coverage to replace winter classic time slot and a triple header on NBC sports network late aft noon game 7:30 game and late game LA Kings banner raising. Jan 1 4 games all day and night hockey.
AMEN TO THAT…LETS PLAY HOCKEY
