CANOE.CA: Montreal Canadiens defenseman PK Subban voiced his support of the NHLPA leadership in response to the league’s suggestion of an owner-player only meeting. Subban made his comments while doing a turn as a Sportsnet analyst on Friday.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Subban’s comments aside (which were a thoughtful defense of why the players need to have representation in CBA negotiations with the owners), the personable, charismatic Habs defenseman has a future in television when his playing days are over.

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: Jets forward Evander Kane is finding the waiting game forced upon him by the NHL lockout to be a difficult one.

VANCOUVER SUN: Canucks forward Chris Higgins has no plans to follow teammate Cory Schneider to Europe during the lockout.
