Hemsky done with Czech league…for now.

EDMONTON JOURNAL: Oilers winger Ales Hemsky, along with David Krejci and Jakub Kindl, recently left their Czech Extraliga team, sparking speculation they were returning in anticipation of the NHL soon returning to action. The real reason why Hemsky left? His insurance ran out.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: That’s likely why Krejci and Kindl left. Given that it’s possible the NHL could return to action by late-January, it only makes sense for them to wait and see what happens over the next month, rather than commit for another month with the Czech league. The report also noted those players aren’t “gone for good”, suggesting if the NHL season is cancelled, the trio will finish out the Czech extraliga season.
