VANCOUVER SUN: Canucks stars Kevin Bieksa and Dan Hamhuis surprised a Midget Triple-A team in North Vancouver by participating in an on-ice workout and answering questions afterward.
WINNIPEG SUN: Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien hopes for a lengthy playoff run with the club when the NHL finally returns to action.
HOCKEY INSIDE/OUT: Montreal Canadiens center Scott Gomez denied reports he would be playing with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL. He’s skated with them in
practice but that’s the extent of his participation. Gomez played for the Aces during the 2004-05 lockout.
TORONTO STAR: Maple Leafs prospect Nazem Kadri’s body fat drew the ire of Toronto Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins, who said Kadri will have to change his dietary habits.
