Williams the Kings unsung star.

LOS ANGELES TIMES: highlighted the effective, little-noticed performance of Kings forward Justin Williams in this year’s playoffs. This isn’t the first time Williams has starred in a lengthy playoff run, having done the same with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006.

NBC SPORTS PRO HOCKEY TALK: cited recent posts on Twitter by TSN’s Bob McKenzie observing the salary cap (under the current CBA, which expires in September) is expected to be $70.3 million. That would also make the cap minimum $54.3 million. Assuming those figures doesn’t include the NHLPA’s five percent escalator, with the latter factored in, the projected cap ceiling would increase to over $73.8 million, and the cap floor to $57.8 million. So, how’s cost certainty working for you?
