Doan leads Coyotes to victory over Kings in Game 4.

ARIZONA REPUBLIC/LOS ANGELES TIMES: The Phoenix Coyotes staved off playoff elimination by downing the LA Kings 2-0. Coyotes captain Shane Doan scored the game’s only goals and Coyotes goalie Mike Smith made 36 saves. The Kings still lead the best-of-seven conference final three games to one. Game Five is in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday.

NORTHJERSEY.COM/NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: As New Jersey Devils coach Pete DeBoer shuffles his forward lines for tonight’s Game Four of the Eastern Conference Final in hopes of generating more offense, NY Rangers coach John Tortorella ripped into the Devils for “setting picks” and embellishment.

NHL.com: NY Rangers forward Brandon Prust will be suspended for Game Four of the Eastern Conference Final for his elbowing Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov in the head during Game Three.

DETROIT FREE PRESS: Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal and chipped in two assists, helping Russia down Slovakia 6-2 to win the gold medal at the 2012 World Hockey Championships in Helsinki, Finland.

WASHINGTON POST: Alexander Semin scored twice in helping Russia defeat Slovakia to win gold.
