OTTAWA CITIZEN: Ottawa policy are denying a report claiming they arrested Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby on Tuesday night.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: TSN’s Darren Dreger also reports the Penguins confirm Crosby is currently training in Vail, Colorado.

NEW YORK POST: Philadelphis Flyers GM Ron Hextall believes the reason Michael Del Zotto washed out with the Rangers was simply a case of  too much, too soon.  Hextall signed Del Zotto this summer to a one-year contract.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: This season with the Flyers could be Del Zotto’s best chance to get his NHL career back on track. 

PHILLY.COM: The Flyers signed agitating forward Zac Rinaldo to a two-year deal worth $850K per season.

STARTRIBUNE.COM: Michael Russo recently reported of no progress in the Minnesota Wild’s contract talks with RFAs Nino Niederreiter and Darcy Kuemper.

DETROIT NEWS: Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser enjoyed a flight with the Blue Angels.

LAKINGSINSIDER.COM: Goaltender Jeff Deslauriers is attending Kings training camp on a tryout basis.

  2. I love how on other boards people are assuming this is a cover up by the local cops here. Nothing could be further from the truth (especially after the Penguins statement) as they’ve shown with Claude Giroux earlier this summer and Ray Emery a few years back that they aren’t going to cover things up or downplay anything. The RCMP on the other hand….
