The NHL and NHLPA tonight signed a memorandum of understanding officially bringing the lockout to an end.

Earlier on Saturday, the NHLPA overwhelmingly ratified the new collective bargaining agreement, which had been approved earlier in the week by the NHL Board of Governors.

Player transactions (trades, free agent signings, waiver claims) will officially take place just after midnight ET on January 13, 2013.

The full NHL schedule for this season has been released, and all NHL training camps officially open on January 13, 2013, with the NHL season opening on January 19, 2013.

I read it was 98% in favour. I wonder how many eric coles are out there

  2. Bosky says:

89% of the players voted, 12 voted against the new CBA. At least that is what Sportsnet reported.
