NHLPA Given Permission to file Disclaimer of Interest.

TSN.CA: reports two players have confirmed the NHLPA membership has voted to give its executive board the authority to file a disclaimer of interest by January 2, 2013.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: NHLPA director Donald Fehr now has the power to file a disclaimer, but will he wield it? If he does, I expect he’ll wait until the last possible moment to do so, hoping to use it as leverage to force the NHL negotiators back to the bargaining table. The league last week filed a class action complaint seeking to establish the legality of its lockout as a means of blocking the PA’s disclaimer gambit, so I doubt it’ll put any pressure upon the owners. Round and round we go, with no talks in sight, and both sides marching merrily to self-destruction. Merry Christmas…

  1. Two morons, a little moron and a big moron were sitting on a park bench. One fell off.
    Which one was it?

(The big moron…the other guy was a little moron….)

In the fight of the short bus champs, Fehr wins, causing Bettman to wet his pants, pout, and, oh ya, get fired by the owners for f*cking up the NHL marketing deal with NBC…..
