The Florida Panthers have signed forward Tomas Fleischmann to a four year, $18 million contract.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Big gamble here by the Panthers, given Fleischmann’s health issues with blood clots, though he’s on blood thinners and supposedly this won’t be a problem in future. Still, if it does become an issue, they may be gambling big money on him. That being said, Fleischmann has shown glimpses of being a good scoring forward, and if he stays healthy, could be a welcome addition to their offensive attack. The average salary hit is $4.5 million per season.
