Penguins deal Letestu to Blue Jackets.

Donning a Blue Jacket.

Various sources report earlier today the Pittsburgh Penguins traded center Mark Letestu to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a fourth round pick in 2012.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: This move is seen as a precursor to the return of Sidney Crosby in the near future, perhaps as early as this coming Friday, to the Penguins lineup

  1. I get why this deal was done and I am happy that Letestu is going to receive a lot more playing time where he is going than in Pittsburgh. I hate to see a bit of the proven depth leave the Pens in the event of injuries like last year however. He certainly earned a spot on the team with his play last season, however I also realize the Pens are too deep up the middle for him to be slotted into the right position to utilize his abilities properly. Ultimately I was hoping that we could have gotten more than a 4th rounder, or possibly as an add in for an upgrade type of deal later on in the season if needed.

  2. Jeez, another center? We got forwards out the wazoo. How bout a goalie!!!!
