Donning a Blue Jacket.

Various sources report earlier today the Pittsburgh Penguins traded center Mark Letestu to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a fourth round pick in 2012.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: This move is seen as a precursor to the return of Sidney Crosby in the near future, perhaps as early as this coming Friday, to the Penguins lineup

I get why this deal was done and I am happy that Letestu is going to receive a lot more playing time where he is going than in Pittsburgh. I hate to see a bit of the proven depth leave the Pens in the event of injuries like last year however. He certainly earned a spot on the team with his play last season, however I also realize the Pens are too deep up the middle for him to be slotted into the right position to utilize his abilities properly. Ultimately I was hoping that we could have gotten more than a 4th rounder, or possibly as an add in for an upgrade type of deal later on in the season if needed.
