Staying with the Penguins.

Various sources report the Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed winger Chris Kunitz to a two-year contract, with an average cap hit of $3.725 million per season, matching that of his current contract. Kunitz was eligible for UFA status next summer.

That pushed the Penguins payroll for next season to $54.6 million committed to 17 players, with notables James Neal and Matt Niskanen RFAs next summer.
