Fisher signs extension with Predators.

The Nashville Predators announced the re-signing of forward Mike Fisher to a two-year contract extension worth $8.4 million, for an average annual cap hit of $4.2 million. Fisher, 32, is entering the final season of his current contract, worth $3 million, but with a cap hit of $4.2 million, as it was front-loaded.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Last season marked the fifth time Fisher reached the 20-plus goal mark in his career, and the second time he netted 50-plus points. He remains an invaluable two-way center for the Predators, and given the length of the deal, the dollars remain a fair salary .
