Gills re-signs for two seasons with Predators

The Nashville Predators have re-signed defenseman Hal Gill to a two-year, $4 million contract, for an average annual salary of $2 million per season. The 37-year-old Gill was dealt at this season’s trade deadline from Montreal to Nashville.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: An expected move by the Predators, as GM David Poile has said several weeks ago he wanted to re-sign Gill for his experienced and leadership. Barring another trade, this is probably his final NHL city. It’s a slight pay decrease from the $2.25 million he earned this season.
