Hannan signs with Predators.

James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail reported the Nashville Predators have signed former Calgary Flames defenseman Scott Hannan to a one-year, $1 million contract. Hannan, 33, played 78 games with the Flames last season, netting 12 points with a plus-minus of -10.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: He’s no Ryan Suter, but Hannan will bring experienced depth to the Predators defense corps at an affordable price.

Nice signing, like you said not replacing Suter but I think I remember him being a pretty sought after defense a couple years ago.

  2. Steve says:

Good pickup for Nashville. Hannan is solid.

  3. Bickleton Wigglesworth III says:

there’s a reason he’s bounced around so much in recent years. too many costly turnovers. nashville is desperate so they took what they can but if i was a pred’s fan i wouldn’t concerned.
