Rangers re-sign Biron.

Biron sticking around with Rangers.

The New York Rangers have re-signed goaltender Martin Biron to a two-year, $2.6 million contract, worth an average cap hit of $1.3 million per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: It was anticipated the Rangers would re-up Biron, who has terrific chemistry with starter Henrik Lundqvist, and is highly thought-of by his fellow Blueshirts. It’s also a nice pay raise over the $875K per season he earned on his current deal.

  1. Good for Marty. He is a great backup and I will always think of him as a Sabre.
