Rangers sign Eminger.

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: Jesse Spector reports the NY Rangers have, as expected, signed defenseman Steve Eminger to a one-year, $800 K contract, a pay cut from the two-year, $2.25 million he earned on his last contract. Eminger played in 65 games for the Blueshirts last season and is expected to fill the role of sixth or seventh defenseman.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: All that seems left now for Rangers management is to re-sign Ryan Callahan before he goes to arbitration later this week, and then decide if they’ll retain or buy out the final year of Wojtek Wolski’s contract.
