Rangers sign Pyatt.

Pyatt heads to the Big Apple.

TSN’s Darren Dreger reports the NY Rangers have signed former Coyotes forward Taylor Pyatt to a two-year deal worth $1.55 million per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Pyatt earned $1 million per season on his previous contract, and is likely to become a replacement for Ruslan Fedotenko, whom the Rangers were believed in touch with prior to today. If this signing is anything to go by, Fedotenko won’t be returning.

  1. I personally think this is one of the best UFA signings. I’ve always been a Pyatt fan, he has really good size, takes PE but not too bad, will drop the gloves and can put upwards of 20 goals in the net. Pyatt brings size, skill, grit, and depth to a Rangers forward core. Boyle – Pyatt on the same line should be good!
