Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports the Lightning have re-signed forward Teddy Purcell to a three-year contract extension. Purcell has one year remaining on his present contract. Financial details weren’t disclosed.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Hope to have the financial terms of his new contract soon. Purcell, 26, is in the second season of a two-year, $4.725 millon deal, with an average cap hit of $2.362,500. He had a career-best 24 goals and 65 points in 81 games last season, so expect him to get a significant raise.
