Clemmensen to remain a Panther.

SPORTSNET’s Brad May reported via Twitter he’s heard the Florida Panthers have re-signed goaltender Scott Clemmensen to a two-year contract worth $1.2 million per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: An interesting move by the Panthers, who are rumored to be interested in bringing Roberto Luongo back from Vancouver. This signing is indicative of their intent to keep goalie Jacob Markstrom in the minors for one more season, and that Clemmensen is the designated backup next season – be it for Luongo or current starter Jose Theodore.
