Kaleta returning with Sabres.

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the re-signing of forward Patrick Kaleta to a multi-year contract. It is believed a three year deal worth $1.25 million per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Kaleta is coming off a tw0-year deal paying him an average annual cap hit of over $907 K. He reached a career-high in PIMs last season with 116, while notching 10 points in 63 games.

  2. Thing with Kaleta last year is that when Gaustad was traded he played more on the penalty kill and showed some skill. He is fast, has some talent and can energize the team. I think with the addition of some of our new guys – Ott, Scott and Porter that allows Kaleta to tone down his physical play which I think was taking a toll on his body. Anyway, I don’t have a problem with this signing.
