SPECTOR’S NOTE: Hannan began his NHL career with the Sharks and spent eight seasons with them, all of them his best years. Since then he’s bounce around the league, from Colorado to Washington to Calgary to Nashville. At 34, he’s coming to the end of his NHL career, as age and his style of play have extracted its toll. As a short-term rental player, the Sharks are hoping he’ll be a good addition as they battle to clinch a playoff spot. He’s an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Conditional pick is 7th if no playoff time, 6th if he plays in playoffs this year.

Hopefully, the sharks D can stay healthy and they won’t have to dress him. Don’t believe he’s NHL caliber player anymore.
