Stastny to Blues, Cammalleri to Devils.

The St. Louis Blues have signed Paul Stastny to a four-year, $28 million contract while the New Jersey Devils have signed Mike Cammalleri to a five-year, $25 million deal.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Stastny goes right where most folks expected he would, and while it’s expensive ($7 million) it’s a decent contract length for a 28-year-old center. That leaves the Avalanche in need of replacing him, and could also affect Ryan O’Reilly’s contract talks with the club.

As for Cammalleri, he was linked to the Devils at the trade deadline, but this is too much for too long for a 32-year-old winger with an injury history.
