Nugent-Hopkins had big night with the Barons.

EDMONTON SUN: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (2 goals, 1 assist), Jordan Eberle (1 goal, 2 assists) and Justin Schultz (3 assists) had three-point nights leading the Oklahoma City Barons to a 4-3 victory over the Lake Erie Monsters on Tuesday.

THE AHL.COM: Cody Hodgson had a goal and an assist as the Rochester Americans down the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-1.

WINNIPEG SUN: Alex Burmistrov’s first goal in the AHL this season was a timely one, potting the overtime winner as the St John’s Ice Caps edged the Portland Pirates 8-7.

NBC SPORTS PRO HOCKEY TALK: Chris Kreider was suspended for one game for a boarding major he took during a recent AHL game.
