Marcus Johansson inks 2-year deal with Capitals.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: A fair bridge deal for Johansson, who’s had a promising start to his NHL career but has yet to post up numbers worthy of a lucrative, long-term contract.

The 22-year-old had 46 points in 80 games in his sophomore season (2011-12), but injuries limited him to 22 points in 34 games last season.

A versatile playmaker who can play all three forward positions, Johansson could have a bright future with the Capitals if he continues his promising development and can avoid serious injury.
