SPECTOR’S NOTE: Steckel wasn’t fitting in with the Maple Leafs, seeing action in only 13 games this season, and was a healthy scratch in the rest. He’ll be reunited with coach Bruce Boudreau, having played for the Ducks coach previously with the Washington Capitals. The 6-6, 220lb center will bring more size and grit to the Ducks forward lines.
