TSN.CA reports the Montreal Canadiens have claimed defenseman Jay Leach off re-entry waivers from the New Jersey Devils.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: The Canadiens plucked Leach, who played 24 games last season with the Devils, as they're in need of blueline depth given a rash of injuries. That however was also the reason why the Devils recalled Leach. Looks like they'll have to call up someone else.
