The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman Anton Stralman to a five-year, $22.5 million contract.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: I like this move by the Lightning. Stralman had a very good season with the Rangers, especially in the playoffs. He’s emerged as a solid blueliner and 27 still has room to improve. Stralman is responsible in his own zone and has a good shot from the point.
The dollars and term are a little high, but it could prove a worthy signing for the Lightning if Stralman continues to improve.
