MONTREAL GAZETTE: Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban is prepared to take the heat he’ll get in Boston, predicting a long, tough series against the Bruins.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Subban will be among the key players for the Canadiens in this series against the Bruins. He’ll have to be at his best for the Habs to have a shot of advancing in this series.

VANCOUVER SUN: The list of possible coaching options for the Canucks could grow if some of the teams eliminated from the playoffs decide to fire their coaches. San Jose’s Todd McLellan and Pittsburgh’s Dan Bylsma could become available if they fail to get their teams deep into this year’s playoffs.

CALGARY SUN: The Flames yesterday announced the hiring of former Phoenix Coyotes assistant GM Brad Trelving as their new general manager.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I believe this is a good move by the Flames. Treliving had a hand in building the Coyotes into a playoff contender from 2009 to 2011.

CALGARY HERALD: Long-time Flames radio play-by-play man Peter Maher is retiring.
